The Head & Heart Collective

An Invitation to Practitioners

An interdisciplinary team of practitioners

This collective is built on a simple and ancient premise: your flourishing and mine are not in competition — they are in participation. Robin Wall Kimmerer beautifully describes this truth with two simple words: Mutual Flourishing.

A Living Ecosystem

The Head & Heart Collective is a dynamic community of interdisciplinary practitioners who operate autonomously while intermittently gathering around a shared hearth — tending the space together, uplifting one another's work, and moving through this valley with a sense of fellowship and community of healers. We are not designed to do this alone; we are relational beings.

This collective is not a referral network in the transactional sense. We are an ecosystem — grounded in reciprocity, mutual flourishing, and the belief that when practitioners are genuinely supported, it ripples out to the community. Creating waves of sustainable healing and nourishment for all.

Reciprocity is resilience. Luminaries lighting luminaries.

What Membership Looks Like

Membership is rooted in one thing: presence.

We ask that each member show up and participate at least twice per year — through any combination of:

  • Leasing space for your private practice, retreats, or events

  • Co-hosting a workshop, class, sound bath, singing circle, or more

  • Attending a collective gathering to support one another, while practicing our own receiving

We ask that members cross-refer within the collective when clinically or intuitively indicated.

As an interdisciplinary team, we have the honor and privilege to support the whole person, which may mean that someone else may be better suited to support someone. In these cases, we can refer to one another with confidence.

Annual Renewal

Membership is revisited annually, guided by intuition. We trust that active members will know whether this community continues to be the right fit. We will also assess capacity for participation as that is a requirement for membership. Whatever shifts need to happen, it doesn't change the care and connection built here.

What You Receive

As a collective member, you are supported by Head & Heart's years of presence and reputation in this valley. As well as the compassionate leadership of founder Ellen Slater. In practice, that means:

  • A profile and presence on the Head & Heart website

  • Inclusion in email marketing and cross-referral networks

  • Access to the Head & Heart space and its accumulated energy — the light, the warmth, the years of healing held in its walls

  • Interdisciplinary conversations and gatherings around leadership, learning, business development, and vision (to name a few)

  • An annual luncheon hosted by Head & Heart

  • Multidisciplinary perspectives and a group of practitioners who show up for one another

Membership & Geography

This collective started local — rooted in the Methow Valley and the relationships that can only be built through physical presence. We have gathered, shared space, and tended the fire together. As the collective matures, it is beginning to grow outward the way a forest does — from the roots, not the canopy.
